Dr. Sanjana Krishnan
Dr. Sanjana Krishnan is the Founding Director of Beejvan Biodiversity and Collaborative Research Foundation, a changemaker whose work bridges sustainability, governance, and inclusive growth across both rural and urban landscapes. With 15+ years of experience, she has collaborated with farmers, corporates, students, and global organizations, driving impactful change in environmental governance, social innovation, and policy development.
Previously, she served as a Returning Expert at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, advising and supporting various sustainability and governance projects. As a German Chancellor’s Fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, she conducted research at TU Berlin, exploring the role of civil society in climate change adaptation and mitigation. Her academic journey includes a PhD in Political Science from the University of Hyderabad, an Erasmus Fellowship at Freie Universität Berlin, and a Master’s degree in Rural Development from TISS.
Her passion lies in regenerating society, ecology, culture, and spirit, fostering a future built on sustainability, equity, and collaboration. Through Beejvan, she manages projects, conducts training programs, curates workshops, and works with diverse communities, ensuring that knowledge, self-awareness, and environmental consciousness go hand in hand.
